Asian Composite Manufacturing Signs MoU With Unimap

ACM General Manager, Robert Moray said, it is imperative for students to be equipped with the industry related knowledge and skills.
"This is achievable with the assistance from industry and giving them an opportunity to get the necessary experience and information.
"This relationship can only be achieved by strong collaboration from both parties (industry and education institutions)," he said at the MoU signing ceremony at ACM here.
ACM was represented by Moray, while Unimap Deputy Vice Cancelor, Dr Ismail Daut, represented Unimap.
The signing was witnessed by representatives from University Utara Malaysia, University Technology Mara, Polytechnic Muadzam Shah and Polytechnic Syed Sirajuddin.
Moray said among ACM's corporate social responsibility (CSR) involvement is participating and having links with learning institutions, hosting visits, and providing a student internship programme.
"The ACM focus is to delight our customers by understanding their needs and exceeding expectations with the integrity of products and services.
"ACM will also proactively ensure environment harmony and work with our community by supporting education and other worthy causes," he added.
The Joint Venture (JV) Company is owned equally by The Boeing Company and Hexcel Corporation.
ACM started production in June 2001 and employed 656 personnel as at the end of December last year.
