Serangan Jantung Pembunuh Senyap Penghidap Darah Tinggi, Diabetes

ALOR SETAR, 4 Julai (Bernama) -- Penghidap darah tinggi dan diabetes atau kencing manis berisiko tinggi diserang penyakit kardiovaskular yang juga lebih dikenali sebagai serangan jantung.

Pakar Jantung Kedah Medical Centre (KMC) Dr Abdul Rahim Tahir berkata ia merupakan 'pembunuh dalam senyap' yang menyerang pesakit diabetes dan darah tinggi selain punca utama lain penyakit jantung iaitu merokok.

"Selain perokok, kira-kira 30 peratus pesakit diabetes dan darah tinggi mengalami serangan jantung dan ia sangat merbahaya kerana dianggap sebagai pembunuh senyap.

"Kencing manis dan darah tinggi adalah antara punca utama penyempitan saluran darah yang boleh menyebabkan penyakit kardiovaskular atau jantung," katanya ketika menyampaikan ceramah mengenai penyakit kardiovaskular di KMC di sini.

Beliau berkata antara gejala serangan sakit jantung ialah sakit dada, sukar bernafas, berdebar-debar serta bengkak kaki.

Dr Abdul Rahim berkata ujian saringan sangat penting bagi mengenalpasti penyakit kardiovaskular kerana ia kadangkala tidak menunjukkan sebarang simptom atau gejala.

"Tiada simptom tidak bermakna tiada penyakit, jadi dinasihatkan penghidap diabetes dan darah tinggi menjalankan screening (saringan).

"Walaupun ia memerlukan kos tapi lebih baik mencegah daripada merawat, kerana seperti mana yang kita semua tahu rawatan penyakit kardiovaskular sangat mahal dan apabila dikesan mengidapinya, pesakit perlu menjalani rawatan segera," katanya.

Beliau berkata antara jenis saringan yang disyorkan ialah electrocardiogram (ECG) dan imbasan (scan) jantung bagi mengesan keadaan dinding organ berkenaan sama ada ia bocor atau tipis.

Dr Abdul Rahim berkata perokok perlu menghentikan segera tabiat itu kerana nikotin dalam rokok boleh menyebabkan bekalan oksigen ke jantung kurang, tekanan dan kepekatan darah naik serta merosakkan sel yang melindungi saluran darah.

"Ia bukan saja memberi kesan kepada perokok malah orang di sekelilingnya juga. Kajian membuktikan 24 jam selepas tidak merokok, karbon monoksida terhapus dalam badan dan paru-paru mula menyingkirkan sisa-sisa rokok yang lain," katanya.

Beliau berkata menurut perangkaan Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) pada tahun 2002, 4 juta perokok mati akibat sakit jantung atau seorang daripada 10 lelaki dewasa setiap tahun dan pada 2030, WHO meramalkan jumlah berkenaan akan meningkat kepada seorang bagi setiap enam orang lelaki.

dah agak lama tak posting, bukannya busy sangat sbb school tgh cuti sampai bulan september, pas raya tuuu..

dah lama tak posting nih, mula la nak beku ujung jari, tatau nak gebang apa. nak cita apa pun tatau la.. pasai idup seharian, alhamdulillah suma ok. anak2 pun suma sihat, anggota keluarga lain pun ok, syukur...

bab keja lak, suma ok ja. in fact aku baru ja cuti seminggu (but still busy buat keja2 surirumah, cuti seminggu tak terasa...). balik kampung pun 2 hari satu malam ja. sempat gak jenguk kampung sbelah hubby and ziarah anggota keluarga baru.. baby muhammad aqeel syukri.

tonight i'm alone with the kids. babah depa outstation kat johor for few days, so tinggallah kami. however, we used to it, dah selalu my hubby outstation due to their computer program. he's the programmer, thus he need to travel a lot to assist their clients and giving training for those clients. perlis, penang, kl, selangor, johor, kelantan... merata la dia kena travel. but its ok, dah camtu karier nya, what to do kan..

well actually, mia is already asleep, while kiki still watching Barnyard in the bedroom. i'm at the kitchen waiting for my 'assistant' finish washing the clothes. hehe... quite hot tonite, aircond pun cam tak rasa wpun dah set paling sejuk dah. global warming, sangat serius!

ermmm.. well... i dont know what else to say tonight. got no 'hot' idea. mungkin sbb dah ngantuk but have to stay awake sbb nak cuci baju and tidy up the messes in this house. cam banyak keja but still have to to write in this blog =D

i'm going to malacca and negri again tomorow - sending my lil sister for her second semester at Uitm. My parents will also be coming with us. as usual will be staying at my sis house. maybe this is our last stay at her house in kemuning cos she's going to move soon (she bought a really big double storey house @ seremban.. got lots of money, not like me.. huhuuuu).

inshaAllah we'll depart at early morning cos we'll only stay there for three days cos ill be seating my final paper on sunday. gosh, still need to study all the stuffs. got no time la.. huhuuuu..

dont have much to talk about as i'm quite bz actually, just trying to post something so that this blog will not in 'sleep mode'. hehe.. Thus, enough for now.. see ya!

i've not post for quite some time due to my 'busyness' with all those bla-blu-ble-bluwek stuffs... huhuuuu
was crazily busy and i only manage to layan my FB account since i have too! coz all the infos (regarding my job la..) were in there!

well, my lill dotta - Maryam Mia Zahra Harith is now officially 1-yr-old. she was born on May 18, 2010 @ hospital sultanah bahiyah, a.setar. we did a very simple kenduri to celebrate her 1st bithday @ our residence at tengku maheran. few menus and only close friends and family were invited. the party was planned a day before it took place, thus we dont have enough time to prepare for big party. but alhamdulillah, it was a great party and everybody had enjoyed those very delicious menus prepared by caterer + special dish (pulut and rendang) prepared by my mom n mom-in-law.

me n hubby were quite busy with our carier and responsibilities, so thats why we do not have proper date for the party. (the party was held on May, 17) when my boss inform me that i can have off day on may 17 (i was informed on may 16, morning..), i called my hubby and we've decide, yeah why not we just held the party on that day. so everything was done in a very cat n dog style.. hahaaa...

so here some of the piccas taken on that day, and i thanks all the family n friends who came to share our joys n happiness in conjunction with our beloved dotta 1st birthday =)

Malaysia Positive Towards Plea Bargaining Implementation - Abdul Gani

LANGKAWI, April 4 (Bernama) -- Malaysia is taking positive steps towards implementing the plea bargaining concept for criminal cases in the courts, said Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail.

He said the plea bargaining concept would expedite the disposal of criminal cases and reduce their backlog, while cutting down the court's time and expenses.

"The concept is being used in the United States and 90 per cent of backlog cases (there) have been resolved," he told reporters after attending the Fifth Annual Event of the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore here Monday.

He said some lawyers might be worried over the implementation of the plea bargaining concept, but he believed it was something that must be implemented in the country.

About 150 participants, including officers from the AGC of Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore and led by their respective attorneys-general, are attending the four-day event.

Among others, the event is aimed at exchanging knowledge in law experiences.

The event also provides greater opportunities and platform for interaction to build upon the three countries' existing partnership links and fosters friendship and closer rapport amongst them.

Topics discussed during the event include 'Plea Bargaining and Sentence Bargaining' and 'Arbitration and Mediation as Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms'.

Earlier in his speech, Abdul Gani said the topics were not only timely but appropriate in meeting the ever-expanding legal landscape, while reminding that justice should not only be done but should be seen to be done.

"As much as we coveted speedy trials and swift case disposals, it is equally crucial to bear in mind that this should not be done at the expense of justice.

"The sanctity of justice should not be sacrificed in the name of numbers and statistics...postponement should not be discouraged but it should be denied on coherent reasons and grounds," he said.

Brunei Attorney-General Datin Paduka Hayati Md Salleh and Singapore Attorney-General Sundaresh Menon are also attending the event.

Last friday, RedBandits dengan jayanya telah menyertai tournament paintball yang official buat pertama kalinya. sangat mencabaq sbb group opponents kami sumanya experienced paintballers dan mmg sudah gah nama mereka.

secara kasaqnya kami merupakan kumpulan kedua yg terdiri drpd suma wanita. tp utk first time kami telah dibenaqkan mengimport sorang jeneral lelaki utk menyertai kami. mmg best sangat experience nih dan kami becadang nak gak masuk Sultan Cup punya championship bulan depan, inshaAllah...

kami nih sbeanqnya tak target utk menang dan tak kesah pun dpt number 30 out of 33 (hehee).. saja suka2 sbb dgn cara ini kami dapat mengamalkan gaya hidup sihat dan melupakan beban keja kami (yg pastinya sumanya reporter/journalist).
